Is it painful? How long is the recovery?
It is performed under topical local anaesthetic and most patients describe pressure rather than pain. There is mild swelling for a few days. Most people are presentable within 48 to 72 hours, which is what makes it viable within a short trip.
Can I have it done in one visit?
Often yes — a full session takes two and a half to three hours. Some plans are better split into two phases so the tissue can settle in between, which for a travelling patient usually means prioritising the areas that matter most on this trip.
